Why it stays broken
Formwork is engineered and then managed by memory. The shoring drawings are in the trailer, the cylinder breaks are in an inbox, and the strength curve that should drive the decision exists in 2 places that never meet. So the schedule pushes and somebody strips at 1,800 psi.
A shore pulled at 1,800 psi instead of 3,000 is not a schedule win, it is a deflection you will be arguing about for 2 years.

Not until the employer determines the concrete has gained sufficient strength to support its own weight and any superimposed loads. In practice that means a measured strength, usually cylinder breaks against a design strength such as 3,000 or 5,000 psi, not a day count on a calendar.
Does this replace our project management software?
No. Schedules, RFIs and submittals stay where they are. This holds the pour, its formwork design, its strength record and its stripping clearance, which is the part that is currently on a whiteboard.
Why we are building this
Formwork is the only structure on the job that is engineered, built, loaded to failure conditions and then thrown away. It is also the one managed with the least documentation.
The rules are clear enough: drawings on site, no strip until the concrete can carry itself. The gap is not knowledge, it is that the break result and the person at the shore are never in the same place.
