Secured collateral recovery

Vehicle repossession software that keeps every assignment, photo and notice on one board

Vehicle repossession is a secured creditor taking back collateral after default. Under UCC section 9-609 a creditor may use self help repossession only without breach of the peace, and section 9-611 requires notification before the collateral is disposed of, with a right to redeem under section 9-623. Neurobird holds every assignment from every lender on one board, with condition photos, personal property inventory and the notice timeline attached.

The daily reality

What repossession agencies actually deal with

Assignments arrive in 6 lender portals with 6 different status vocabularies, and your board is a spreadsheet joining them.
Condition photos and personal property inventories live on drivers' phones until somebody disputes the condition.
A breach of the peace claim or a missed notice turns a $400 recovery into a legal problem that outlives the account.

Why it stays broken

Every lender and forwarder has its own portal, so an agency working 12 clients works 12 systems. The only place they join is a spreadsheet, and the field evidence never joins them at all.

A disputed recovery 8 months later is decided by photos nobody organised on the day.

Personal Property in the Vehicle Your lender can’t keep or sell personal property found inside your repossessed vehicle at least until a certain amount of time has passed, which will depend on your state’s laws.

How does Neurobird Vehicle Repossession work?

  1. One board across lenders

Assignments from every portal and forwarder land on one board with one status vocabulary, so the day is planned once.

  2. Evidence captured at the curb

Condition photos, plate and VIN, and a personal property inventory are captured timestamped at recovery, not typed up that night.

  3. Clocks that do not slip

Notice, redemption and storage clocks run per assignment, so disposition happens on a defensible timeline.

Vehicle repossession software questions, answered

Key terms

What is vehicle repossession?
Vehicle repossession is a secured creditor taking back collateral after default. Under UCC section 9-609 a creditor may repossess without a court order only if it proceeds without breach of the peace, and section 9-611 requires notification before the vehicle is disposed of. The mechanics differ by state but that framework is close to universal.
What is breach of the peace?
The line that stops a self help recovery. It is deliberately not defined by a fixed list, so it turns on facts: confrontation, a locked garage, a threat, an argument at the scene. It is the single largest legal exposure in the trade, and it is decided on evidence captured in about 90 seconds at the curb.

Why does personal property matter so much?

Because the lender bought the collateral, not the contents. Personal property has to be inventoried, stored and returned, and a missing item is a complaint that arrives weeks later with no photograph to answer it.

Does this replace lender assignment portals?

No. Lenders keep their portals. This gives you one board across all of them, one status vocabulary, and the field evidence attached where you can find it 8 months later.

Why we are building this

Repossession is a legally exposed field job run mostly on portals nobody owns and phones nobody backs up. The recovery takes minutes. The paperwork exposure lasts years.

The two things that decide a dispute, photographs and timing, are the two things that are hardest to find later. That is a tooling failure, not a diligence one.

We would rather build this with agency owners than guess. Tell us how your board works, and where we have got it wrong.
