What is pavement striping?

What retroreflectivity levels are actually required?

The requirement is to maintain a method that keeps markings above the level, not to measure every foot.

How long does striping last?

It depends entirely on the material and the traffic. Waterborne paint on a busy road may need renewal every year or two, thermoplastic and tape run considerably longer at several times the cost per linear foot. Without cost per 1,000 linear feet by material, that comparison is guesswork.

Does this handle parking lot work as well as highway?

Yes. Parking layouts are counted in stalls, legends and accessible spaces rather than in miles, and the pricing structure is different. Both live in the same job file, measured the way each is actually sold.

Does this replace our estimating spreadsheet?

It replaces the retyping. The takeoff, the daily production, the material draw and the closeout are the same record, so the invoice comes off measured quantities rather than a second spreadsheet.
